1. Acceptance of Terms
- By choosing Newtown Veterinary Clinic for your pet’s care, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined herein.
2. Services Provided
- 2.1 Newtown Veterinary Clinic commits to delivering comprehensive veterinary services including examinations, vaccinations, diagnostics, surgeries and other medical treatments as deemed necessary for your pets.
- 2.2 Our team of experienced veterinarians and staff will exercise due diligence, skill and care in providing these services to ensure the wellbeing of your pets.
3. Fees and Payments
- 3.1 A detailed fee schedule is available upon request and is subject to periodic updates.
- 3.2 Payment for veterinary services is due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements have been made and agreed upon in advance.
- 3.3 Late payments may be subject to additional charges, and Newtown Veterinary Clinic reserves the right to withhold services for overdue accounts.
4. Appointments and Cancellations
- 4.1 To streamline the care process, appointments are strongly recommended for all veterinary services.
- 4.2 Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice to accommodate the needs of other clients and patients. In the case of short notice or ‘no show’ to an appointment, a cancellation fee will be charged, this fee is payable before any further services will be provided.
5. Medical Records and Information
- 5.1 Newtown Veterinary Clinic maintains accurate and confidential medical records for each patient.
- 5.2 Copies of your pet’s medical records can only be provided to other Veterinary clinics upon request. We are unable to provide records to pet owners.
6. Consent to Treatment
- 6.1 By engaging Newtown Veterinary Clinic’s services, you provide explicit consent for necessary veterinary treatments and procedures.
- 6.2 In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, Newtown Veterinary Clinic will make reasonable efforts to contact you; however, immediate treatment may be administered if we are unable to reach you.
7. Responsibilities of Pet Owners
- 7.1 Pet owners are responsible for providing accurate information about their pet’s medical history, behaviour, and any other relevant details.
- 7.2 During veterinary visits, owners are responsible for the well-being and behaviour of their pets, including ensuring the use of appropriate restraints if necessary.
8. Complaints and Disputes
- 8.1 Any complaints or disputes should be promptly communicated to Newtown Veterinary Clinic to facilitate resolution. We are committed to addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
9. Limitation of Liability
- 9.1 Newtown Veterinary Clinic assumes no liability for loss or damage arising from the provision of veterinary services, except to the extent required by law.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- 10.1 Newtown Veterinary Clinic reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions as needed. Notice of changes will be provided on our official website.
11. Governing Law
- 11.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria. By choosing Newtown Veterinary Clinic, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
